Foreword
Welcome to the new issue of Military Vehicle Systems, this issue is packed with information from across the globe looking at what is happening in the global systems market. The programmes section has been completely updated, so much in fact that we have a smaller version in the Journal and the complete version can be viewed on www.militaryvehiclesytems.com.
On the main editorial pieces we have information on various areas from the UK military looking at modern warfare capabilities. DARPA looks at overcoming cyber threats, a critical area for all data systems. With the US Military we look at Operation Olympus, while New Zealand presents their new utility vehicles. Australia welcomes its new tanks, the US Marines showcase NMESIS, a mountable, ground-based anti-ship missile launcher, while we have the European Commission on its support for a more coordinated and efficient defence procurement among EU Member States.
Our technology pieces look at advances in armoured vehicle engineering and the need of modern protection for armoured vehicles. We look at mission critical connectors, the new British Army uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), experimenting with counter-UAS capabilities and new digital weaponry.
As with all issues, view our diary page for events that we are supporting globally, please send any comments good or bad to me as this is how we improve our information to you. Have a great 2025.
